My grandmother had my father when she was 17 (having said that, she's Italian and was alive during the tail end of WW2, so there was a bit of pressure to have kids earlier.)
If my father had had me at the same age, she would be 34 when I was born.
So it's very possible to have grandchildren at 50, or well below 50. The age at which having children is acceptable is really just a cultural thing (you could go into when the body and mind is fully developed, but that's not the point).
I'm 13 and my dad's 64 too.
I wasn't even an accident.
Apparently my parents wanted to even out the generations, considering both my sets of grandparents had their kids so young.
