I actually hate when people are like this during the movie. I sat next to a girl that talked throughout the entire Insidious 2 movie, and I to watch it again because I missed most of the dialog up because of her obnoxious loud talking and screaming when it got scary.
How frickin big are the schools in America? I go to what's considered a large school in Australia and it has 1600 people with about 200 people max learning an instrument....we don't have marching band though, just orchestras and ensembles and stuff because marching bands aren't really a thing here
Well one of the biggest marching bands we have are 600+ people but theyre university. High we have like maybe 200+? My band has 180+ people.

American schools seem really strange to me, compared to what it's like here....here, we don't have major football events or anything. We do have school sport, obviously, but it's not a major thing (pretty much you sign up for whichever sport you want and then play it, no big fuss), which means that there's no cheer and no marching band. We have clubs and lunchtime events and stuff though, like an ongoing soccer competition in the gym at lunch or whatever.
You get to do stuff at lunch?? I'm in high school so lunch lasts 20 minutes and we get yelled at if we get out of our seats. But yes as an American I can confirm that football is basically sacred to high schoolers XD

You have to sit in seats at lunch? We just grab our lunch from our lockers (canteens aren't such a big thing here, we can buy lunch if we want but most people don't do it often) and go sit/walk around with our friends on the oval or benches or whatever, or we go to clubs and stuff. Lunch goes for 40 minutes and we have a 20 minute recess right through school, but it depends on the individual school.
What time does school start/end for you? It starts at 8:45 and finishes at 3:30 here.

My school sounds similar, notsoraven - do you go to an Australian school? Also we start at 8:30 and finish at 3:10.
My school starts at 7:10 but bus comes at 6:20. And WOW please come here and make school lunch like yours..you actually get to stuff?? I mean I'm in public school but still..we aren't allowed to get up till we're dismissed. It's stupid, once I wasn't allowed to eat because I forgot my lunch in the classroom (my fault, but they should've let me go get it.)

Yeah, I do, Morrelli.
And seriously? That's ridiculous. I go to a public school too, but it's kinda semi-selective, I can't really explain it. We have to work ridiculously hard in class and we get heaps of homework (depending on the teacher) but we get recess and lunch, probably because if we didn't we'd die (we already have 80 minute lessons half the time, but the lesson length varies)

We have four periods of 75 minutes each, and then recess and lunch are 25 minutes and 45 minutes, I think. Who knows, the bell tends to ring somewhat erratically.

Same at my school...recess is at a different time each day. Drives me insane.
I don't get recess. I have 7 50-minute classes a day and a 20 minute lunch. 5 minutes between classes is our recess and the only thing you can do is go to your locker and get to your next class. Last time I had recess was in 5th grade.

Wow....the American system's always seemed really odd to me. I personally can't focus for more than 3 hours at a time, and I'm guessing you have longer periods of class....my school has 5 classes a day, except for Wednesday and Friday when we have 4, but the class times vary a lot. We don't get ANY time to go from class to class, you're somehow magically meant to teleport there (we bring our books/textbooks/whatever with us for the next class we have, so if we have 2 classes before lunch we'll bring the books for both to the first class)
