Can we please reflect on the fact that we were disgusted by the idea of these young children killing each other in the hunger games. When Rue died, we all lost it. Yet, currently as a globe we have children as yong as 6 fighting wars and killing. We've turned a blind eye to this and frankly it's ridiculous. We have more heart for a fictional story then our own world. Just because we don't know the detailed stories of these children of war doesn't mean they don't have one.
....now that you mentioned it.....
oh for God's sake. now I can't get the idea of how to train your dragon being turned into a movie out of my head. THANK YOU.(note the sarcasm)
Have y'all ever given any thought about how we technically form a global Panem? The US would obviously be a Career Districts, probably District 2, we might even form part of the Capital. China and Japan nicely fits as District 3. North Korea District 13, 3rd world countries compose District 12, and so on. And the hunger games are all the wars that affect children, especially those of the poorer countries. As part of the Capital, we lack to grasp the gravity of the wars and of the suffering the Districts are going through because we're too preoccupied with our own affairs, such as the latest "music player" and "fashion", and Suzanne Collins has now been trying to open our eyes to reality: we live in a real life Panem.
