In Norway you're not allowed to buy alcohol in stores after eight (or is it six, can't remember) and most stores have curtains that they pull down infront of it. It's actually great, because if you forget the time, you see that the curtin is closed and you don't have to bring the beer to the check out only to be shot down.

In New Zealand the shops are all closed on Good Friday and Easter Sunday.

In the U.S., most stores are closed on Easter and some on Good Friday. Stores that stay open are usually the big stores or fast food like McDonald's.
