My birthday yesterday was quite like this.

They ask me what I want for my birthday, I always answer "nothing in particular" because I really can't think of anything that I want. And when my birthday comes around and I get little to nothing, I am always disappointed. I guess that maybe by "nothing in particular" that'd mean "I hope you know me well enough to please me" but I still should see it coming anyway.
