Isn't it C= π*r^2 ? (As in, Not 2R, but r^2)

That would be the area. Circumference is 2(pi)r.

Oh yes! My mistake. It's been a very very long time since I last used it, and I guess the ordering made me think of the area formula. But I am very embarrassed with myself. Please excuse me while I cry in a corner

You shouldn't be embarrassed by that. If you haven't used it in a long time, there's not really any reason to know it. It's not like finding the circumference of a circle is something that the average person needs to know how to do.
