It's because of Eminem's lyrics in his song "Without Me"
"Though I'm not the first king of controversy
I am the worst thing since Elvis Presley
To do black music so selfishly
And use it to get myself wealthy
'Hey' there's a concept that works
Twenty million other white rappers emerge
But no matter how many fish in the sea
It will be so empty without me"
The post quotes his song and while it may be true that he wasn't the first white rapper he's easily the most famous one and he had to deal with a lot of people saying he couldn't do rap simply because he's white. Not to mention that there was a surge in the appearance of widely known white rappers after him. But he is still the most famous/successful, confirming his "twenty million other white rappers emerge but no matter how many fish in the it will be so empty without me."
Which, ultimately is an opinion, however I agree that, when looking at the lyrics of today's raps, they pale in comparison to Eminem.

I see... and yes, his raps have deep meaning to them. And I'm sorry but I just cannot take many rappers such as Lil Wayne or Rick Ross seriously. The words that come out of their mouth make no sense at all!
I agree. Lil Wayne only has two songs I like and they're both with Eminem so...
I don't even really like rap that much. Just particular artists. Or rather artist because Eminem is the only one I really like multiple songs from. Personally, I prefer older music.
