Depending on the weather, they could get exposure and get extremely sick. But if it was in say, summer, on a warm night, and the patio was enclosed, then they'd be fine. The ground might be a little hard, but they'd be fine.
Does correction count as locking your child outside for the night ? There's no telling what could happen to them. You don't even know why they were late. A good " correction " would have been privileges taken away. Not rights like a shelter.
Except in Canada several years ago, parents did this to their daughter and she was abducted, tortured for days, had her eyelids cut off, raped, etc. Finally to be cut up and dumped in concrete. Yes it's a bad punishment with serious unforseen consequences
If I had come home late my mom would've dragged me inside, ask me: What the hell I was thinking and why I did not call, and then hug me and tell me she was so worried and I would've apologized and everything would've been fine and she would not have locked me outside where God knows what could've happend to me which would only lead to her being worried the whole night for my safety.
Thought that too. I have a key to our house since I'm 9. But maybe she left the key in the lock on the inside so you can't put a key in from the outside? I don't know how the locks look in this country but in mine that would work because the key on the inside would block the lock.
Curfew? It still seems to be sunny out, or at least moments before sunset, it can't be THAT late...
Anyways, he should go to a friends house or something, that's what I would do.
...and raped...
...and murdered...
She's to blame for some sick fuck torturing and murdering her gruesomely because she was home a bit late ?
