Why not call some animal rescue service or police to take the poor cat out of the wall? I mean it should take less than 5 years to dial up a phone number...

I seem to remember hearing about this story. The cat climbed up as a kitten and then grew too big to be taken out.

Couldn't they break down the wall and rescue the poor cat?

Perhaps it would risk injuring the cat. Or, the people who would be able to help just didn't care enough :(

:( that's pretty sad though. 5 years with next to no space. It would probably rather die

If you look it up the cat was actually finally freed. Animal activists demanded they break the wall down and get kitty out. So the cat has since been saved :)

Except it was freed and immediately ran away. They don't know what happened to it after that.

Better than being trapped in a wall. I hope someone caught him and he is living a happy life. This old man is this cats angel though

I cannot imagine suffering five years trapped in complete isolation and confinement.
