Recently it has been revealed that a major BBC employee- Jimmy Saville- abused hundreds of children. He died a couple of years ago and then the whole thing was exposed- there is evidence that the BBC covered up his horrible crimes. That's what Clarkson is referring to (as the BBC didn't cover up when he punched his producer)

You must have been living under a rock if you haven't heard of the Jimmy Saville case and had to ask what this meant

To be fair- it was a massive case in the UK but elsewhere in the world it probably wasn't. The guest may live in a country where it wasn't headline news.

I know I was given more media coverage on the Clarkson ordeal rather than the Saville case

Not Clarkson.

That's the worst excuse - he assaulted a man and he should face the consequences of his actions

I don't think that's his beef, I think his problem has to do with favouritism happening within BBC

You say favouritism, I say corruption

Sorry, I meant that isn't Jeremy Clarkson. It's a parody account. And to wade in on the debate, no one should be able to assault a co worker and keep their job.
