I wouldn't say always, if it's good service then definitely, but there's no rule about "oh you have to give %10 tip", if the service is nothing special I've never seen anyone Irish tip, back home or abroad

Hey, Indian here! It is a bit exaggerated because people do touch the opposite sex and it's fine. I think the post is referring to kissing in public and even that will only get you stares in small villages and towns but big cities are pretty okay. You just don't seem well mannered if you publicize your love (I don't agree with it either) but it's so weird that this exists because there are so many hidden sex jokes everywhere, like in every day speech, advertising, etc. The biggest one is the fact that the bride and groom's first night is so anticipated. The bed is adorned with rose petals and they even have strings of roses hanging from the ceiling. There's even a name for the night: "Suhaag Raat".
