Probably hearing aids or a surgery. I have a friend who had one a year back, he's right as rain now.

Some people can get a cochlear implant that goes into the cochlea and brain to stimulate the the channels in the ear, because some deaf people aren't born with hair cells which is what can cause deafness.

Don't worry. Farts are always funny. I'm 26 now, and my boyfriend and I silently (or not so silently) fart in public. Needless to say, it's always freaking hilarious, because other people's reactions are priceless. Keep doing yo thang, trust me, when you get to be 80 something, you'll be unashamed of the self propelled walking farts you release without warning. It will be just as funny then as it was when you were born.
