either this is lies or he misunderstood chase getting a raise. pizza places do not give raises like that, not to drivers, and certainly not for a weird review. my raises used to "coincide" with min wage increases and were typically like a dime an hour.. "oooo and look min wage went up so you get a QUARTER!"

They don't have like...different levels of crew members (or whatever they're called at a pizza place)? With different pay rates for the levels?

that'd be a promotion though, you cannot be a delivery driver and a manager. he'd have to have been promoted from like delivery driver to management for that much increase, which also means no more tips. you got delivery drivers at minimum, some insiders making pizza and answering phone for a buck or two more, a few shift runners they get maybe a buck more than the insiders and an assistant and general manager they get salaries and expected to be there all the time so probably end up with minimum wage after math too.
