Once, when I was shooting clays (skeet) I accidentally hit an actual bird. I felt bad until I thought, if that bird is dumb enough to fly through a shooting range then it's probably just trying to remove itself from the gene pool for the good of its species.
I don't know about you, but every riflery/archery range I've ever been too has a rule about not shooting while actual animals are on the range. You can't rely on a bird to know what a rifelry range is, it's a bird.
