If it's an offensive word, don't use it at all.
If you use it, people don't think it's offensive ( since it's usually used in terms of endearment between black people from what I've seen )
It's like when little kids learn to cuss, it's because you using it willy nilly makes it seem okay.
I would win that bet because
1. I'm not into stereotyping people
And
2. Most of the guys that actually are those stereotypes meme on 4chan or don't meme at all
why when young black peopel take a negative word used to derogatorily stereotype them and make it a positive, do white people get mad and say nobody should use,,,,sorry but yea there is big difference in who and how uses it
Its cause he used it in a derogatory sense meaning something negative specifically towards black people, while black people say it to mean really anyone, but mostly friends and/or family. Theres a difference between using a racist word for its intended use and trying to use it to describe positive things .
Well, you see, um, hulk hogan is WHITE. white people not so long ago had some problems with black people, and sort of kidnapped them from Africa and enslaved them. At the time when that happened, they would call them the n word, which created a unsavory history with that word. it is generally accepted for black people to use it because they, as far as I know, did not enslave millions of other block people and refer to them with the n word. now I understand that most white people today aren't owners of slaves, but unfortunately there is still a lot of racial discrimination in America today stemming from slavery, so the word can still be offensive.

I'm not trying to start a fight, really. But some, not many, free black people had slaves. Also Africans kidnapped other African and made slaves of them. Trust me!! I'm not saying it was okay at all that Americans had slaves, but people have had slaves for thousands of years and there are still slaves today. Let's not forget that.
Also, let's not forget the fct that white people didn't kidnap black people. They were sold go them BY OTHER BLACK PEOPLE.
Before the slave trade, Africans very much indeed kidnapped white people as well.
Also, there were white people slaves, they were just called indentured servants ( pretty much the same thing just a different way they became one )
And no, they would not have used the n word for white people as it came off the word negro, the Spanish word for black. And they would have had a different word for the same colors as they had a different language. The word is only bad because of the history, its not bad itself.
Lastly, the n word is a very tricky subject. People from other countries don't learn about American history, and even in America we're not always taught that they used that word back then. So if someone from another country likes rap they're gonna think it's another word to us in English. But their ancestors weren't involved with the slave trade.
