I haven't watched the dubbed, so I can't say if it's better, but the subbed was really good!

Dubbed is great, they worked extremely hard on all of Hayao's movies to get the dubbing perfect.

Sooo true my bro watch it and he doesn't like anime. And we watched it 3+ times on vacation. Might be because it was the only movie we had, and we had no internet connection, but you know.
