Omg okay so I understand it is upsetting that he died I wish it did not happen but it was not poaching he paid to kill a lion he went to Africa was out side of a reservation and killed a lion it is said that I was Cecil..... Oh and I like the art work.
Poaching is unacceptable, but hunting is.
Cecil was killed by a man whose intent was to hunt a lion, it was his hired team of local guides that lured him out of the park(likely unknown to the hunter).
Here's where poaching and "hunting" become the same thing. Was he hunting this lion for survival reasons, aka hunting for food? No, he hunted it for the fuck of it because he could. Just because you can, doesn't make it right. To kill an animal out of self defense or sustenance is one thing, to kill it to get your jollies - fucking disgusting.
End rant.
Did I pass? I'm a school teacher, my mom was a school teacher and her dad was a school teacher. 2 cousins are school teachers and 2 are college professors. It's in my blood. I can't help it!
Also, I am sorry if I offended anyone. I saw the word poaching and that was the first thing that came to my mind. I've never really heard of Cecil, but I hope karma comes for the one who took him away.
To the people saying that he didn't poach Cecil, I think you need to go check your facts, because if you actually read the whole story, you might change your minds.
Actually there is one instance when poaching is acceptable.
Cecil was killed by a man whose intent was to hunt a lion, it was his hired team of local guides that lured him out of the park(likely unknown to the hunter).
End rant.
