A clever idea for a pet food dispenser

How is a kitten more important that a man or woman without a home, whose life is in tatters, and who need rehabilitation to live in the crust again?

I heard somewhere that they castrate the male, cats in order to prevent exactly that. But I'm sure they don't do it everywhere.

There's a super Walmart in my city that has a big expanse of fenced-in, unused land behind it where a feral cat colony developed and that's exactly what they did there. They laid traps, caught them, and fixed them before releasing them back into the "wild." Somebody told me chunk of them couldn't be released and had to be put down though, when they went to fix them and found a number of them had some illness that was going to kill them slowly. :(
