For the perfect PB&J mix the jam and peanut butter together before spreading. That way you get an even flavour mix of both

You could just fill in the gaps with the opposite (peanut butter around the jam heart and visa versa) and then you'd still have the heart shape - easy fix, perfect sandwich, still get to be romantic
