I was stressed out about some stupid presentation we hadn't finished, then in class we got in so much shit and I started panicking. But I eventually got over it.
Same guest( I need an account:() also do deep belly breathing and just ride out the panic attack. I had two massive ones on Saturday and I just breathed and did grounding exercises, took about half an hour to calm myself down, but it worked. Then distract your self by doing something physical, such as cleaning, brushing your hair, doing a puzzle or homework.
To be honest this doesn't really work for me, usually I need to do breathing exercises for like half an hour.
If someone is with me at the time though, it really helps if they hug me and say stuff like 'it's going to be okay', 'you're safe here', 'This is real', 'I'm here'
Stuff like that works really well for me.
