and this winter is supposed to be a rainy one, and because of all the years of no rain, our hill sides are dry and fragile. The rain is going to cause damaging mud slides

And as a country boy I would like to add that only in California would you find somebody that would pronounce Rodeo Drive as row-day-oh drive, (not to mention the complete lack of horses.)
California is the best.....specifically southern california...being from california im conceited of course. But in all seriousness i do believe california is one of the better states....i would put it over new york any day. But then i do live in soCal land of the people that say like and dude with everything they say i wohld have to say i love southern calofornia cuz like ur close to the beach, mountains, desert, if u wanna go hang out in the central valley u can even do that
The second most fouled up state in the union, NY. Trying to understand why news articles garnered downvotes. Are you disputing the validity or trying to say that none of that is a problem? Or did you blindly downvote without reading any of them?
I didn't down vote any of the articles. It was probably drpepper lol but I don't think the articles you posted constitutes California as being the most fouled up state. I can easily find negative articles about any state in our country and claim it is the "most fouled up state". With every positive there comes a negative
Im not surprised they were downvoted but i agree my homestate is sadly very polluted....i dont think we are "the second most fouled up state in the union" though. I wouldn't say which state is because thats just downright rude. I would like you to stop trying to humiliate my state pokethebear. Please kindly tell me what state you are from because i'm sure if i try hard enough...i too can find a few bad articles about your state as you did to me. Good day
Wouldn't the dark heat absorbing color of the balls coupled with the natural wicking action of compacted solid particles increasing the surface area actually INCREASE the evaporation rate?
Um... The dark you see is the water, the balls are white. The balls are like beach balls, water can't be wicked when the balls touch because the water level is well below where contact happens.
Temperature effects evaporation, the more heat in water, the faster it will evaporate. That's why to quickly reduce a sauce, you apply heat to it and not stick it in the fridge.
