Actually, one of the teachers at my school was lost to a shark, and one of the things that he would never condone would be the killing of these glorious animals. Yes, they can cause significant injury, but very rarely do they mean it, and besides, you're the one in their territory.

I love sharks. The media makes them look bad when they're lovely animals. I know sharks attack people but it's so rare. You're more likely to get struck by lightning than get attacked by a shark.

More people die from dog attacks worldwide than shark attacks. More people are killed/injured in car crashes than shark attacks. They just get a bad rap

I totally understand what you're saying and agree, but those can't really be comparable because more people are around dogs and driving than there are people deep enough to be around sharks, or even in the ocean regularly.

Remember that surfer dude punched the shark in its back, and the shark did not return.. The shark must've been like, "woah dude chill!"

Now i have this mental image of an innocent young shark being curious and nomming everything he puts his eyes on like nom nom nom cutely.. xo
