I once gave a guy I think was homeless ten bucks while waiting in line at a concert (he was going around asking), but then I started to feel awkward because everyone saw me do it and he could have not been homeless and that would have been embarrassing.

Who cares if they did it for attention if the homeless person still got a meal?

yea of course, but it is very annoying. i once saw a video where come guy was like 'guys im making this video to show how kind of a person i am' and gave air jordans to some homeless guy. the act was kind, but the PURPOSE was not to help the homeoless man, it was to gain the admiration of his viewers, to show 'how kind of a person' he was, as he so bluntly put it.
