It's always a great achievement when you get Magikarp to evolve. I never had the patience or time.

Rare candy only goes up a level plus you get stat advantage if you don't use rare candys

I'd prefer a stronger better gyarados than a weaker one

getting a dragonite was just as bad, getting a dragonair to level 55 was painfully tedious
