Yeah. The laser worked on my (very fat and apparently genius) cat for about a week... Then, one morning, when I shined it for her, she just looked at me, then at the hand holding the laser, then back at me. It hasn't worked on her since.

My dog knows, he just doesn't care. He knows where the laser is kept and goes crazy when someone just reaches for it.
