IQ doesn't count for squat if you can't make use of it! Sure this child is extremely smart, I would love to be as intelligent as her! but what she does with the intelligence is what matters
Why does ever body think this is such a big deal. Sorry to burst the posters bubble, but I am also in the 1% of the population. Trust me. I'm not all that. My big "super power" is that I can see causal relationships. But can I add 3 digit numbers in my head...no!!
Yes, tell me when she comes up with something that completely revolutionizes the entire human understanding (like relativity and the photoelectric effect) of physics, wins New York Times Person of the Century, is paralyzed from ALS but still accomplishes more in life than nearly everyone else that has ever existed, drastically alters the understanding of black holes through thermodynamics and quantum information theory, etc. Otherwise the only thing impressive about her is how little she does with the advantage that she was given.
IQ does not instantly mean intelligence, I bet people don't even know why it was first created... everyone learns in different ways. I'm glad for her, though, I hope she goes far.
