Would a pipboy technically be a watch?

It does everything except tell time

I just want a normal watch why would I need a smartwatch to tell me if my phone got a message if my phone is in my pocket or purse

They were selling these with a Fallout 4 preorder, but then they sold out. I guess you're not the only one.
