FIRST
So how come when i pick up a jar of pennies and smell them, i can smell them really strongly? I'm not touching the coins.

Perhaps because they were handled before they went into the jar and they've been sitting in the oils for some time?

Hmmm. Maybe but i still have my doubts. Metal has a very distinguishing smell.
