My first guess was mercury but I forgot about gallium and now that you mentioned it it probably is gallium because the shorter container looks like it's solid by the angle

Although it's really not a good idea to keep gallium in a glass container since it is one of very few substances that expand as they solidify. (water, silicon, gallium, germanium, and bismuth all share this property)

Yes I've only seen it kept in bigger plastic bottles
