You slowly go insane trying to find the money and starve to death. Your mom comes home to find you dead and she doesn't tell the police that she was the one who didn't give you an allowance. Your mom then lives the rest of her life knowing she accidentally murdered her own son.

I would hide it where I keep the duster and furnish polisher....that's how I know it is really clean. Or in a drawer.
