That is a fire hazard. Lint should be removed each and every time the dryer's cycle has finished.

Save up the lint and melt a bit of wax onto it to make firelighters. Great for camping or emergencies.

I was taking apart dryers one time so I could use the drums for something and I found close to 30 single socks
