Perhaps there's a correlation here... People who are smart with money generally have money saved/invested for retirement and people who are hiring for those top CEO positions are generally going to look for people who can handle money well. Not that surprising.

CEO's generally also work much more hours with more work per hour and the work is also a lot harder and benefits the company. They have special skills that most people don't. They do deserve the money.
