Carbon dating?

Captain here! Carbon dating uses the half-life of carbon-14, a radioactive isotope of carbon, to determine age. In essence, therefore, it is also technically "radioisotope dating". The answer is most likely "relative dating", which uses the position of the fossil in its stratum, relative to the surrounding fossils or strata, to give an estimate. It is usually less reliable and accurate.
