It's been unusually rainy lately, hasn't it? Still, it's been pretty cool, if scary to drive in

California could use some goddamn rain.

I was born and live in northern germany, and my wife and me have made friends with two guys from Syria this year. Last winter, when they arrived, was the mildest in many years, and still a lot more grim than the syrian "winter". Now the fall storms are starting and its getting colder, and like in a giant GOT ad campaign, all the people tell them: "Winter is coming, and its probably getting a reeeal winter this time!". But then theres this guy from north-east Finland, about the latitude of Murmansk, who just starts chuckling once a german says "winter". The syrian guys find him a little spooky ;)
