Actually the traditional twelve days of Christmas start on Christmas day and go until epiphany on the 6th of January, ending with a feast.

Twelfth night is the night before epiphany. Also with a feast. I've never actually celebrated them but I've been researching holiday traditions to see how we want to celebrate as a family. It's fun to start digging into the history of stuff.

Well this person seems to be complaining that some people start to celebrate the Christmas season early. But they posted it already into December. So its late.

Depends. Christians celebrate Advent, which is the forty days before Christmas Eve.
