"The basement's a mess too"

Actually, when my parents did this it meant my parents wanted me to not bug them while they were cleaning the house. Also sometimes the guests would bring their kids along. Then we would play in mine room away noisy adults.

My mom tells me this every time the housekeeper comes to... uh.. clean. She wants me to clean before the cleaning lady comes.
