Well here's a little bit of panic! At the disco trivia for you,
Nine in the afternoon is in fact not about drugs, as many people seem to think. What really happened was the band was doing around looking of inspiration for a new song but couldn't find any, eventually they gave up and crashed at a little studio where they recorded one of their first songs (hence the lyric 'back to the room where it all began') The ideas still weren't coming and everyone was super tired and pissed off. Brendon askes spencer 'hey what's the time?' And spencer being super tired and not really paying attention said 'nine in the afternoon'
And voila. That's where the song came from.
"your eyes are the size of the moon"
