This is how it vaguely works:
1. Low-calorie all vegetarian food, weak
2. Eat both, food tends to be everywhere, higher caloric content from raw meat
3. Eat both, start to cook meats, gain even more calories from it.
More calories=stronger in general, from an evolutionary standpoint
it's the same for vegans when people say "why don't you eat meat? you should eat meat or otherwise this and that will happen!!"
