There's nothing /wrong/ with it, like, it doesn't make him a horrible human being or anything but you've gotta admit, it was probably pretty embarrassing.

well the thing is not that he made a mistake, the thing is he did announce the "wrong" winner yet let her celebrate, salute and cheer that she had won and took everyone 5 minutes to realize that he had announced the wrong one, and the girl who had won had to take the crown off and give it to the other one after all this, made everything for her so embarrasing
