I'm pretty sure that when most teens say that, the money required for an apartment or house is considered in the "chance".

But some do say they're moving out as soon as they turn 18 and in my personal experiences, a lot of those who said that also didn't have a job.

I moved out ten days after I got my diploma and I had no clue what I was doing. Tbh I still don't.

just a guest scrolling by, but just to share out to the world, though sometimes I think about leaving home in moments of anger, as a full time college student working part time, damn, I honestly love living still with my parents. Minimal rules in exchange for next to no bills to pay is totally worth it for me.

I said and did it. I moved as soon as I turned 18. Yes it's hard but I don't regret it at all. Had to get out.

In the UK, unis usually provide your housing (for a fee) and you can take out loans to pay for it.
