Jeff might have some slight autism. I have a student who does that. That's the only time he talks.

Sounds like it. My 7yr. old's Autistic and has a photographic memory that allows him to repeat any dialogue he hears in a TV show. He has speech disorders and it's sometimes quite hard to understand him because he doesn't pronunciate his words but his memory is amazing.
