None of my friends care when I talk about ducks so I thought I would post it on here instead. XD

@suga I have a (probably irrational) fear of ducks and geese, so I don't care much for them. Or birds in general really, but especially ducks and geese. But this is a beautiful looking duck.
Some facts:
•Long-tailed ducks are a type of seaduck.
•They breed in tundra pools and marshes, as well as along sea coasts and in large mountain lakes.
•Their nests are built using vegetation and lined with down, located on the ground near water.
•They are social ducks that form large flocks during winter and migratory seasons.
•Long-tailed ducks are diving ducks; they dive for mollusks, crustaceans, and small fish. They usually feed close to the surface, but they are able to dive as deep as 200 feet!
•An easy way to tell the difference between the male and female is the length of the tail. As you can see in the picture, the female (bottom) has a shorter tail, while the male (top) has a very long tail. Coloration of the feathers is also a way to see the difference between the male and female. Females have a body with more brown, while males have more white. Males also have a pink band on the top of their bill.
•The males are more vocal.
And @crfwannabe, the wood duck is so pretty!
