You tell youre parents that dogs might be pains at times, but they are helpfull in clean up, happiness, retaining sanity, and various other things, dogs are the best and you should be able to have one

This is yet another reason why 98% of dog owners shouldn't be allowed to own one. There are a number of foods (other than chocolate) that will kill or cause problems for dogs. Simple allowing a dog to eat whatever you happen to drop on the floor, not only shows a lack of control of the dog, but is horribly irresponsible.

well he's not entirely true anyway, dogs eat a lot of things that drop on the floor without us wanting them to, even if we get after them afterwards, not irresponsible. another thing my dog eats stuff from the floor all the time, I think if he was going to die he would have keeled over by now, so yeah.
