No, I walk six feet away from my bed to the treadmill so that I don't even have to leave my house

What if it's pouring out? Or there's 2 feet of snow? Or it's 110 degrees?

You can always choose to stop running, or run more, on the treadmill. You also get optimal temperature and other comforts, such as water.

A gym membership for only using a treadmill is a waste of money, in no time you'd be able to afford your own treadmill with the membership fees. However, lots of people go to the gym to not just use the treadmill, its a social environment, and the friends you make notice when you slack off and don't show up. It's a way to stay motivated and committed. Not to mention you can use the other equipment as well, and use the treadmill to cool down and get your burst of cardio.

This meme is always used stupidly with criticisms that don't even make sense. People don't sign up for gyms to just use its treadmill. The only modern day insanity here is whatever gets written on this meme.

I personally feel that if you have a membership you should use the treadmill. Cardio is a great method to blast away the fat and keep your heart healthy, and the treadmill is great for that. But I agree it's a shame that people think they only use the treadmill. Just cause ya see someone using it, that doesn't mean that's all they're using. And even if it is, what's it matter to anyone else? It's dangerous to walk in a lot of areas for many different reasons. People need to not be so judgy
