But what i am saying is most people would peel it off from the corner, right? I guess it could cut you if you try to just scrape it off with your nails.

Look closely. The easiest corner to peel is the one where the sharp blade lines up with the edge.

If they are on a spring or simply coiled under the sheet, they could whip out at your finger when released (probably in the direction of the previously mentioned corner).
