The Vietnam memorial wall is the perfect memorial. Even though I am only 29, and thus know no one who died in that war, I was overcome by emotion when I visited the Wall.

My grandpa started crying when The Moving Wall came to my town and he went to see it.. so did my grandma, actually. It's really touching and sad to see my grandfather, who worked on nuclear warheads, reduced to tears. (The Moving Wall is a portable Vietnam Memorial that goes around the country).
My grandfather lied about his age so that he could join the marines @ 17 years of age to fight in WW2. He ennded up as a multiple medal of honor recipient and @ 5'8" and 145 lbs was the toughest man i've ever heard of. We burried him 4 weeks ago. It really puts into perspective how good we all have it today.
My dad passed down a huge print of this painting to me when he died. He was a Vietnam veteran, and whenever I look at this it makes me think of him. Thank you for posting.
In eighth grade we went to DC, and one girl wanted to get a rubbing of her grandpa's name for her grandma, but it was too high for her to reach. I ended up standing on my social studies teacher to reach it for her.
