It's a window with a lookalike on the other side. The scales in the 'reflection' are under the 'mirror' so shouldn't be there

Thats actually a doppleganger - monsters and mysteries in america had a great episode about them. They start off with being in mirrors then they start walking around your house pretending to be you then they become aggressive.
