Before computers made it easier...NASA engineers in 1961

They had computers in 1961. This is a staged photo for Life magazine, not something people with any sense actually did.

This looks like college professors in 2014, not NASA in 1961. Mind you, they landed on the moon 8 years later; very farfetched to go from this to that so soon.

You could fit all of that on one sheet of paper.

...are...are they outside? One small bout of rain and all that work would be kaput.

The board is way too clean for engineers. There should be lots of traces from previous writings.
