The monster was actually quite articulate by the end of the book. He didn't have bolts in his neck, either. I realize this is the more familiar bastardized Hollywood version of the monster, but the cartoon still sort of backfired a little.

And in fact actually said that they might as well just call him Frankenstein as well. Something like "isn't it right to be named after your father" or something.

Frankenstein was the doctor. You're looking at the Frankenstein monster, but everyone calls the Frankenstein monster Frankenstein.
