Popular media raised them unfortunately, thanks to a generation of 2 working parents, single parents and easy entertainment.

The thing people constantly "seem to neglect" is that you can make your own damn choices. If your parents aren't raising you properly or being terrible role models, then don't follow their example. Do want you believe is going to be best for you, and don't make excuses for yourself. Take responsibility for your actions instead of pawning them off on someone else

You'd be surprised how many people that are qualified to do nothing, end up with higher paying jobs than other people.
